Verbier Festival Academy: Creative Project Development Residency
Helena Ricci has won the unique and competitive spot for the Creative Project Development Residency at Verbier Festival Academy this Summer, one of (if not the most prestigious of the) the world’s top classical festivals. She will be developing a new immersive concert, part of her MUS!LUX vision to showcase classical music creatively .

Helena Ricci presents her debut solo classical album anima at the iconic St Martin-in-the-Fields. She returns after making her debut here mere days before the pandemic began, a cathartic concert that you are warmly invited to come.
There will be the possibility to meet the artist after the concert as well as sign the album.

Solo concert: anima, a GLOW IN THE DARK experience (world premiere)
Award-winning harpist Helena Ricci plays her programme anima as an immersive, multisensory, mesmeric glow in the dark concert. She is currently part of the first cohort of Stoller Hall Emerging Artists as well as a City Music Foundation Artist.

Both Lise and Helena will play 45 minutes solo each, showcasing the diverse, rich and intimate sound world of the harp.
Britten Pears Contemporary Ensemble at the Aldeburgh Festival
First performances of pieces written by young composers on the 2019 Britten Pears Contemporary Composition and Performance course led by Jessica Cottis, Mark-Anthony Turnage and Colin Matthews.
In 2019 conductor Jessica Cottis and composers Mark-Anthony Turnage and Colin Matthews led the internationally renowned Britten Pears Contemporary Composition and Performance course. This year the course participants reunite to present the first performances developed on the course by exciting young composers. The programme also includes Turnage’s opener, and a dramatic first performance from 2021-22 Britten Pears Young Artists Robin Haigh and trombone quartet Slide Action. The concerto for four trombone soloists and large ensemble is tailor-made for the theatricality and dynamism of the group, evoking the bombast of film trailer music and the “banal tragedy” of TV adverts.
